What did you do to your Z this week?

Should be easy Whats happening at the weekend?

Screwing the gear shift knob back on is easy, removing the bumper & brackets & finding someone who can weld the bracket back together before refitting is just a pain in the **** even if it isn't rocket science.

Tatton Park ;) Fancy a run up?

Go commando! (Bumper free that is) Some Zs look mean that way!!

Tempting, but probably not - will have just driven down from that area.

Fitted "new" Hitachi carbs that arrived from the US, fitted new bonnet pull cable.

Now waiting for new electronic ignition to arrive, then finish running in L28 engine...

As some of you know my front O/S wheel was catching on lock, turns out it was just tyre size so I've dropped from 225 to 205's and all's ok now, its MOT time in a couple of weeks so I swapped the 240 with my Z4M for a few weeks and bought it home :)

I spent a couple of hours swapping jets & emulsion tubes. I've gone up from 52 idle & 143 main to 58 idle & 155 mains with leaner emulsion tube. I think it's better, but may be too rich at the top end. Will have to wait and see how I get on tomorrow @North Weald

I've been playing with mains, idle's and emulsion tubes today........ well the electronic equivalent anyway :)

See you tomorrow Jon.

Thanks Paul, they do look good in Yellow, not so sure about Coupe though, got one of those already in Orange :p glad it wasn't anything serious, only a tyre change, should still be ok when I lower it, Mikes ordered a set of springs for me

Maybe it's just a bit of trapped air - let the pressure out and go for another drive.

Yeah I tried that,I'm goner do it again, bin suffering from trapped air since I had that Indian last night, any suggestions on that oneJon

Less lager I think.
Lift your front end up with the cap off and run it and see what happens.

Yes - it gives trapped air in the engine a chance to escape. Lift it up, take the cap of, put the heater to hot and the other slider to heat too, warm the engine up and make sure it's at the right level at idle. I'd hold it at 3000 rpm for a minute finally to see id that gets any air out.
