Yes after looking at the pics again I would tend to agree, its a very nice example of a Z31 leave as is.

HaHa... bit of a misunderstanding guys. The pics I used in my original post are not of my Z but of a random 200zr that happened to be at a good angle to use as an example.

I mocked up some black covers today & put them on but there were too many seems what with the bumper, the headlights, the wing & the bonnet. It looked too busy if you know what I mean. I would show you some pics but my camera wont connect to my Mac today.

I think the smoothness of the flushed front is what makes the look. Sleek.

I'm still in two minds about it.

I think the lights are nice as they are. If you really want something to do you could work on a splitter/spoiler combo maybe I think that'd look nice? You've got the wheels right now I reckon

Agree with Russ. The recessed headlights are the essence of the Z31. It's what makes it stand out from the crowd! Why make it look like all the others? Mr2- rx7- s13 -944- celica etc etc. They all have a standard pop up arrangement.
I just think it's a classic bit of Nissan styling that shouldn't be messed with, but hey each to his own.

It doesn't look too bad but the cut-away pop ups are what makes the z31 stand out over all the other pop ups of the era for me... you'll probably get people saying 'nice supra' or 'nice mazda' a lot more
but even then, the z31 has nice 'beefy' pop ups compared to the dainty ones on the mkIII supra and others so it'd still look better in some ways

having said that the ones JackTheRuby has photoshopped up look pretty good... & I always thought the z31 looked most like the 'knight rider' trans am out of all the other cars of that time (minus the cutaways and it might be hard to tell from a distance from most angles)

Do it I personaly think it makes the car look better and suits the colour. Also mod the thing to make it your own!!! Just dont make it look like a Saxo mobile, or like its been ram raided in to Halfords and it will look great.
