Thanks Jakko,
Yes the car is "snug" but liveable for a bloke my size, 6' 2 1/2" and nearly 17 stone. I was surprised when I got in, enough side to side room (as much as the Z i think) but the headroom is quite limited. Will be tight with a helmet on for track days.
A lot of the guys have gone for "top trumps" numbers on their engines which is great for down the pub but sometimes too much of a handful for the road. A bog standard "redneck proof" LS2 engine generates 405BHP and about the same torque.
With 405 BHP and a car weighing approximately 950 Kilos (bit more if you use an ironn block) then the ratios of the Porsche G50/50 gearbox will supposedly deliver 0-60 in 3.3 and 180 MPH give or take a bit.
There is one car that will do 0 -200 - 0 again in 19 seconds and will hit 211MPH in a standing mile but to be honest, that sort of power is way too much for liveable everyday use. If I up the power at all it will be with a pair of heads (probably trick flow) and a cam (probably comp) which should see about 550BHP. That will be MORE than enough.
