Well finnally got the scoob VSLD connected to the datsun hub flanges, after 2 previous attempts/breaks I opted to get a new quadrant and full, one piece shaft made to order via a local enginnering shop, and stop trying to codge the 2 bits together as the piccy shows, they is built for the job.
Word from the wise, should anyone try this mod in the future, then I'd reccommend having a new hub and companion flange made up to allow retention of the complete Datsun drive shaft, it wouild fit directly to the scoob diff and then you'd just bolt up your original shafts, isn't life great with hind sight.
Only worry now is will the diff hold up to the torture, the shafts are rated for 750-1000ft/lb torque, so they ain't gonna snap quick.
Regards
