I caught a post elsewhere yesterday and was saddened to hear this. I have only been on here three years, not a regular but very appreciative of the knowledge and support. Mike helped me loads 17/18 to fix all the wee niggles my car had.
He went well beyond just helping, had a few calls back and forth, and one memorable phone call which was unexpectedly deep and meaningful. Which left an memorable impression. To echo much of the above, I can’t put my finger in it but he had a real calm warmth about him. He cared. Despite his own pains. Such an admirable quality. He was a good human being.
