Hi all, I recently asked for pics of a 240z showing the way the relays are mounted in the footwell (rhd) , unfortunately nobody obliged but I think I have guessed it right, now I need a pic showing how the bonnet release cable is mounted to the side of the footwell next to the relays. I think it might utilise the bolt securing the horn relay but I would still be a hole short, so pics please.

Don't have a pic to hand, but can I make one suggestion, the bonnet cable runs behind the relay board and from memory the mounting bracket screws / bolts to the side of the body. But put an insulating board between the cable outer and the relays, as I had the cable break where it joins onto the pull handle, and the free end of the metal outer then swung against the relay and caused a short, luckily I was in he car when it happened and I was able to avoid disaster, but it was a close run thing !!
 
I could do with seeing how the relays sit in that footwell too. My memory card failed just before I went to put it all back together lol.

Blimey, so that's what it should look like down there?! Suffice it to say, mine doesn't :lol:
 
And another part of the jigsaw falls into place

Rob the pictures were a great help. I used your Pic number 3 to compare what I'd done and it revealed a school boy error, I'd mounted the relays upside down !! Turned them round the correct way and voila !! the 2nd hole for the bonnet release cable bracket was revealed. Awesome thanks very much :bow:

Do you know what the relay is mounted in the passenger footwell, I wasn't aware there was a relay there, but then I haven't remounted the dash yet, so it might be connected to that?

That's the headlight flasher relay (operated by the button at end of indicator stalk).

Anyone know of a mobile sparky around the Birmingham area?
