Sean

The car didn't sell.

Thanks again for the exhausts.

Steve

Ok (and yes Status - loads of poor details - basically an off the boat car and the seller trying it on under the current climate of higher Z prices) thanks Steve, welcome and nice avatar.;)

Base is done had a night when it only went down to 0 degrees so wot with cement generating its own heat and was gonner be 5 degrees next day we had a bit of luck in getting the base down.Ingredients consist of 2 ton of hardcore, 42 bags of dust , 8 ton of ballast,Directions. lay hardcore evenly,go over with wacker, couple of bricks to raise the metal grids, mix dust and ballast and pour evenly until you get a nice even layer, smooth and level with 12 foot plank, leave to dry overnight.job done, there you have a base for a 12-20 ft timber garage, now the hard bit,wot Zed do I put in it

Should have built it just a tad bigger to put them both in. :D

Mine is only 24 x 12 if I'd had the room it would have been double the size.

The 260 is tucked up in the garage attached to the house,in my last house I built a garage 24 ft -16 ft,also has the attached garage which I knocked the end wall out so I could drive up the garden into the double, when I moved the green 240 had to go ( was gutted ) Mike B s car ,as I didn't know if I was gonner have a double garage when I got another place, new place only gas a one and half tandem so after 10 years have decided to put a timber garage in the paddock,I don't own the paddock I just pay a peppercorn rent of £1 a year,I asked the farmer a couple of years ago if I could put a shed in the paddock and he said yes,so I've put a big shed in there if he asked, but to get access he has to go through my land so shouldnt be a problem,if there is I might have to sell the Zed,how much is it worth, also a timber garage might be for sale

When he said I can put a shed up when I asked him I would've thought a concrete base is wot a shed sits on,common sense in my books but I've probably done something wrong

I'd be more worried about what the planning officer has to say about it. You can build sheds and garages, subject to conditions, on you land as your house will have permitted development rights associated with it. Unless they have been signed away in the past. The farmers land will probably by classed as agricultural and therefore have no permitted development right so no sheds or garages allowed. Not wanting to worry you but you could get the farmer in a fair bit of trouble IMO.

I don't give a rat's toss about your garage, yours Zs, your very personal relationship with your farmer or what you're selling !
