    Good stuff! Worth noting on some cars the throttle linkage bracket is a separate piece that bolts on. I'm guessing accommodating that would make the exercise easier in those cases.

    I think Phil is referring to my observation, I.e. That earlier cars had the throttle linkage bracket as a detachable fitting, bolted on, rather than spot-welded in place.

    Ah, so much more dramatic! Only just got back from the in-laws for Xmas, so hadn't got my car to hand as a reference point.

    Woody that looks pretty impressive, maybe not period perfect for some purists on here but then there aren't many "pure" original RHD Z's in the UK. As an aid to help anyone who wants to convert a LHD to RHD that will no doubt end up getting modified in some way it looks a nice piece of work, wish I had similar metal working skills. It'll be really interesting to follow your progress with these panels, keep up the updates and pics please.

    Okay, I'm going to bite! :p If that comment was any way inspired by the conversation preceding it, it's not about purism or being picky. The reality is there are several variations of the reinforcing plate that are year-specific (early vs later 240z, 260z with holes in different places, etc.) and as Alan's pic showed, it's quite noticeable. This matters if one is concerned with making a conversion age-appropriate (which some people will be). Woody's work looks good and I'd guess he wouldn't have much trouble creating the variants if he had suitable reference pieces.

    Whatever, look forward to further updates as this is a needed solution to the issue of completing RHD conversions with a diminished supply of donor vehicles/bulkheads. Plus, I'm always jealous of good metal fabrication skills! :thumbs:

    HI all
    Thanks for all the comments and may i say you are all correct, I have modeled this plate from a 260/280 i do have the early plate but havent produced any yet , when ive ( its actualy me and my brother doing the conversion stuff ) finnishd doing all the things you need for the later conversion then we can look at the early stuff . Its all the tooling for thse panels that takes time , for every different plate theres a different bulk head panel , Servo sizes etc, half way through getting the bulk head panel sorted, should be fitting it in a few weeks(touch wood ) so i can show you guys the pictures as im fitting it,Sorry if i`me a little vague guys I`ll try explain things a little better in future, I`me sure you guys will keep me on the right track. Happy New Year
