Taken from your own website - where there is no mention of any drop-outs, disqualifications etc and I found no info whatsoever on the Retromobile site that is on the front page of Frances' biggest Internet provider - Wanadoo ! They don't even mention Datsuns - just Fords although there is a nice snowy photo of a Z !

I helped Michel with some parts for his car - he's a gentleman and I am naturally curious and optimistic about his participation in this event - as you said not long ago, at least they're out there doing it' !

What mine , It's called Faymoreau, an ex-coal-mine not 30 kms away from where I sent you an email to postmaster etc, etc last weeks re jackets and the F1 competition. You never replied !

On your site, there aren't even photos of ALL the entrants' cars !

Sean,

I can only say, it's time to visit my site again and more frequently.

Then you should have discovered that your friend wasn’t started and that RAMES Philippe was out the first day.

I’m a very hard working man, just as ‘m off for work again. Tonight I’ll finish the Monte page but I also have the victory lane where you could have seen it.

Have a nice day!

Call Ossard and ask him why did not started?? That would interesting!

Guus,
I did visit your site - that was from where I emailed you (postmaster etc) but your site gave no info as to why he didn't start - from all that I know, he could have crashed out !

I'm sorry for Philippe (what happened?) but he started with a car that has a 'certain history' and then he's been to zpassion to prepare it for the rallye !

And you know of Lamarres' car going to Larroque (I know how much he paid) and it's sitting in a front garden, rusting even more now !

Henri (Jaconelli) isn't doing it this year - which is just as well !

So, the histrory of French Monte Carlo entries hasn't been great and I was very pleased, astonished to read that a French Z was doing so well.

I will call Michel !

I’m perfect…. Almost pretty perfect. :p According the Monte page
335 OSSARD Michel IV 4 Forfait Avant les vérifications
He had some kind of trouble? Rames, I did mailed but didn’t get an answer yet. He is probably in MC??? About he pictures, be a great help and challenge the French forum for more…

Dunno about helping - I'm sulking after all your sarcasm.........gonna cost you some Boerenjongers !

Nice photos - you must have spent ages editing out all the Zs ;-)

I left a message on Michel Ossards' mobile phone - hopefully he'll call me soon !

What's nice on a site like yours is not just the official records etc but the stories, info, gossip - know what I mean ,
Don't get me wrong - it's great what you do but......

A little bit of translation from a French page by Google! If you look at the photographs you see people suffering in the snow (as the man said).

(377 photographs) We chose to go on the 3rd stage, ZR 9 this Tuesday 31 janv. 2006. The ZR9 comprises on its way the mythical rise with the collar of Fontbelle. A portion of road of almost ten kilometers not déneigée. The first two pins are very famous, but this zone is very difficult on most of the course. Historically, it was often special where one gained or lost the MC according to the choice of tires which one did for this stage which is really mixed: dry and asphalts at the beginning, snows in the medium, dries and asphalts at the end. Some made the bets remain in slicks even if it means to lose 5 to 6 minutes on this snow-covered zone but were caught up with before and after... Snowing up was this year very significant and of many cars remained wedged. Some chained, others remained in nails. Snow was frozen at the beginning, liquid with the end. Few pilots really could attack except for Jean-Pierre Nicolas, who made us a small spectacle with the collar, for 5 witnesses (yes, you read well: a vidéaste amateur, a photographer and three witnesses). http://herve.brun.free.fr/MCHistorique/

And I finished the result page as well www.z-pointt.nl/MCH2006/index.html
The results were very fluctuating; best place ever 5, worse place ever 289!!!

Here’s the ‘winner’ of the day  !!!! Sitting on the back of his Lancia for more traction at the rear wheels  ........but he forgot the Lancia is a front wheels driven car :D :p
