LOL well you're all digging the same hole so why not share one? :D Seriously though, you're happy to give 10% to Ebay for each sale but think its your given right to have completely free ads on here. Why?

Charge for the ads ! I always found hardly anything sold on here anyway, ebay is a gamble but stuff does sell on there .Not bothered anymore, once I get rid of what is left it will be the end of it for me, got everything to make the car I have been searching for all these years, so the jobs a goodun.

What is all the pi55ing and whinging for?

You are still allowed to sell on the boards, even though you are not paid up. People will still buy your stuff and YOU will still make money using the club resources that OTHERS are paying towards.

I could understand if no one was allowed to sell unless subbed, but all they are trying to do is make sure those who have personally contributed to keep the website maintained get the first opportunity to give you their money.

I think that sellers should be able to see their adds but without writing some complex code to do it, its not a possibility.

No one is losing out on potential customers, no one is being prohibited from using the site to sell their stuff. Yes you might have to wait seven (personally I think three would have been better) days for unpaid members to view but chances are you will have flogged it by then to paid members.

Think of it like a real shop, not all your customer base visits everyday to buy your things. Not every customer sees them as soon as they hit the shelves.

Ebay costs, you can do it on here for free. Why not do both or is it better to cut your nose off to spite your face?

Peace Out

Amazing, the most vocal on this thread are the very ones who have taken the piss big style, using the place as a trading post and not putting anything in towards the running costs. "I was going to join but now I'm not"? Bollocks! Pete, have you also deleted the sly trading posts? I could always remove them for you if you want ;)

Holding the club to ransom with "rare" parts only being available from yourselves? We're not worthy! Perhaps we should pay you to be a part of the club since you're such a valuable resource to the community?

Feel free to delete every single post I have ever made. Many of them are trivial rubbish anyway. Clearly slipping references to "selling" in to normal posts is verging on "malpractice" so it might be best in the interest of the club to delete them first.
The rest of my trash might take a while to delete as there is a lot of it. Or do you have a "delete all" option?

None of us is holding anyone to ransom over parts

That seems like a fair offer.
RallymanDP has his own website I think???
And I dont have much to sell anyway.

Anyway this whole thread has been a jolly good bun fight.
It always amuses me how much reaction one small post gets:D
And even more amusing is the fact that some of you still think its a serious and meaningfull discussion.

And NOBODY answered my original question:confused::confused:

No you did not miss the announcement
the Classified test thing was being done as a test and it was our fault that it became up and running to all straight away it was not meant to happen as we wanted to try and iron out as many glitches as we could prior to its launch to coincide with an announcement

But then a slight shall I saw distraction happened and we never managed to do it all as we had planned which I apologise for on behalf of the committee

An announcement will be made shortly once the thing is working correctly

And with regards to

Although a lot might be said in jest and as a wind up the good thing is there are points that have been raised that need looking into

As someone who helps pay for this forum I'd like to add my views.

Everything in life has a cost and somebody has to pay for it. Some people manage to get these things for free based on the fact that others are paying the costs. These freeloaders are all around us and you often don't know who they are. You may be driving beside a car with no road tax or sitting beside someone on a train that hasn't paid his fare. The fact that you have paid yours means there is enough money for the systems to continue to operate and the freeloader to continue to do what he does. If everybody stops paying for things then the systems will cease to operate. If more people pay then the systems will improve or the costs per person will reduce. This is all fact and basically how life works. The same principles apply to the Z club and this forum. If enough people stop paying then the services the club provides will at some point have to stop or those of us that do contibute will has to pay more. The club allows new forum members to use the forum but I think the club would like these members to eventually contibute to the club if they feel you enjoy using it or are benefiting from the service it provides. You would expect older members to continue to want to contribute to keep the site running. If you don't value the club or the forum then fair enough, but if you do post on here then why do you not want to help keep it running?

Please note: I do not use the term freeloader in a detremental way. It's just an accurate desciption of who you are.
