Like an S30 - can't remember the last one I saw on the road. They were everywhere 35 years ago seemingly.

There were 2 of these at the Classic Car show at the NEC back in November. Saw a white one last year at Infinity Exhausts near me which looked nice but couldn't get any photos.

Had a TA22 1600ST back in the 80s which was brown (rust) with red bits but if I was to go for a GT, I would prefer the fastback (baby Mustang) version.

They are nice in the flesh ... not sure I saw those at the NEC show, but the thing is SO big now, it’s easy to miss cars ...

£25k though, hmmmm ... if he can get it then good luck to the fella, no harm in asking.

Good result. Could easily be the best in the UK - can't think there are many left ... !

They have a very loyal following amongst the Toyota crowd and I believe there are quite a few still around ( perhaps same number as RHD s30's) . The GT spec however is much rarer.

And price for this car is about right when compared to an equivalent factory supplied RHD s30

The S30 is vastly superior in terms of drveability.

I'd always have a TA22/3 than the 28s - at least the early cars had their own identity are are as such not a 'poor-mans' anything' !

".....mustang" ! Everyone knows and says that.

I'd love an early GT, I regret selling my ST when I left the UK for Holland.

.

Everyone ?? :_)

The same "everyone" also consider the s30 being a poor mans E type or 911. :)

But if you are going to be worried about what others think and say, then perhaps stick to mainstream marques.

Sadly the days of finding an affordable 22\23/28 are gone. Even the 40's and 61's are approaching double digit numbers now.

Never heard anyone say or wite poor mans' E-type....all we get is the big healey successor !

So Nissan and Toyota aren't mainstream marques ?

Yep, reality but we can't scoff that the Japanese cars have their following and finally being appreciated as icon cars with values in accordance !

!

Less than 2% of the classic car market I reckon if I am to go by all the "traditional" national and regional classic car shows around the UK.

So certainly not mainstream IMHO.

They have a specialist following though, which is on the rise due to principally the under 35's.

Ah, ok, so you're saying I should buy an MGB - makes more sense......except that I like my garage floor clean and dry thanks.
