Had a weird dream the other night... Dreamt I was building a super car! But it was an "affordable" super car!

Was based on some 4x4, then a tubular frame was welded on to it... fiberglass body, it looked ffffing amazing! Like all the best bits of a TVR crossed with a Ferrari and a little bit of porsche thrown in

I was wondering, if you were actually building this then what would you use as a base? Would it even be possible?

It'd need a decent engine, but because you'd be taking so much weight off the car, it shouldn't need anything too scary...

I'd make my own chassis, always fancied one of the old style bird nest chassis. Or better yet steal the idea from motorbikes using an alloy beam with engine as a stressed member.

Russ, I think you will find "birds nest" is a soup and what you meant was "bird cage" as in Maserati tipo 63! Adrian
