Black & Silver Number Plate Rule Changes

As I said, no British plates were originally fitted to my car so British plates may "look" wrong. If it's the letter that gives the "look" then an older plate or private plate should then make it "look" right. Even if it isn't.
Correct, in my opinion of course.

One of the extra benefits of the classic plates is that many ANPR machines don't recognise them. So you are less likely to be caught speeding or be seen entering a car park.... However, I guess the machines may now be getting a bit more sophisticated so there is no guarantee!

I was thinking about this the other day. What if your classic (that is wearing black and silver plates) gets nicked and the Police check to see if they can track it through the ANPR cameras? That in itself makes me think about refitting the white and yellows.

ANPR cameras can still be viewed 'manually', and in some cases they can read black plates so black plates aren't completely anonymous.

Anyone recommend a place to buy black and silver plates in Z sizes? I dont want them to be hanging off the mount at the back like some!
