Is anyone going to Longleat hillclimb this weekend. There used to be a good gathering of Z club members there. One year, I remember there even being a Pagoda. How swish is that?!!

I'm going to go with my V8 along with a friends immaculate 280zx

sorry can't make it this year -collecting my V8!!.
It was actually me that organised the Z Club stand a couple of years back and since then haven't be able to make it, next year must make a really effort as this is an excellent day out.

You might want to drop Ben a line - I know he isn't competing this weekend (wedding or something) but Ken is, and ben might be able to point you in the right direction to get a vehicle pass instead of general parking.

Anyway as I've said this is such a great day really must get my act together to sort out a stznd for the club next year

OK now we all know chris will not be driving it !!!!!

Opps did I say "My V8" I'm sure that should have read "Suzy's"............. no hang on, don't think that's right either.......

What is Chris's is mine and what's mine is mine - something like that anyway;)

Well I will be there, but only on the Sunday at the moment. Very small chance of getting a late reserve entry for Sat, but I aint holding my breath. Weather forecast looks ok, so come along and enjoy some hillclimbing at a great venue.

He certainly did run, but only managed to finish in the middle of the pack. Splitting the Porsche entry down the middle in a large class of 14 cars. Car certainly felt good through the twisty stuff, but has been feeling down on power of late, hence maybe lack of straight (ish) line speed. At least that's what it says when I refer to the 'Big Book of Racing Driver Excuses'.
Never mind... In the words of General McArthur, 'I will return', hopefully with more power or at the very least power restored.
Might be running at the Castle Combe Sprint on 21/10, but can't make up my mind. Will post nearer the time and let folks know.

I'd be up for coming along the Castle Combe sprint, being a local boy n all.

I actually ended up doing a truly epic track day in the V8 where I began to develop the art of a four wheel drift (The car is such a balanced set-up!).

Sunday was then taken over with the overwhelming desire to complete the 2.8 rebuild that's taken me 6 months. I did finish it and it looks incredible. Webers, Chrome K&N's, Strut brace. It's all prepped with oil and coolant, ready to start.

Sorry I missed out on longleat. A friend of mine was competing in his Aston and said it was a cracking weekend!
