That's not bad at all. What's the shipping like from Oz though?

Australian cars look cool with the shaved front side indicators too.

Probably only cost a couple of grand to get it over here and pay all all the fees and hidden cost.

I suppose the US, Oz, Japan are all a bit of a muchness really then - 1.5-2k-ish.

That car is one of the cheapest I've seen from Oz recently. They often seem to be much higher than that (albeit more fully restored).

Of course, a nice alternative from Down Under would be a project level C110 240K/Skyline coupe - but those seem to have all been bought up and shipped off to the Middle East to become GTR lookalikes!!!

Yes, does look pretty good that and I like that colour. Don't care for those bonnet vents - and the bonnet fit looks a bit out unless it is just the light.

Christ - you're fussy:) - less than £20k landed for a clean (assumed) RHD 240Z !

Nice vented bonnet (probably down there it wasn't a luxury) just like late 280Zs and better than those seen on some UK cars 'home-made'.

Looks a good buy to me, what is that was funny washer bottle looking thing doing in front of the battery though.

Will there not be 10% duty plus 20% VAT when imported?

Or would this be classed as a rare classic and have the reduced rate?
Anyone on here done this before?

Again, looks to be a nice deal for someone looking for a RHD zed. Would have been nice if they painted the engine box during the re-spray. I love that euro balance tube, the US spec cars have ports and all kinds of bad things attached to that tube.

Many people on this site have imported Zs from the US and other locations (mainly the former). As long as they are pretty close to standard they usually get through at the reduced 5% rate for classics. Occasionally people get stung for more if obviously modified. Commonly, the shippers/agents can deal with the paperwork that submits the car for consideration at the lower rate.

Thanks for the info.

I wonder how the engine change would be looked upon?

Unless declared on the paperwork, its not an externally noticeable mod - E88 head and P30 block, same as a 240Z. The differences are internal. It could get through - or might get hit. I don't think its an exact science tbh!

You could probably lump in an L28 and it'd get by but as Richie mentions, best not to have any mods noted on paper all the same.

Apparently offer accepted and the seller is just waiting for the deposit.

Too slow I guess, if it's as good as advertised then it seems a good deal.
