Is this a relay?!

Found it at the front of the car, tucked underneath....

Thinking it could possibly be to make the indicators flash??

Anybody please tell me what is does and what plugs into it.

Would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks, Antonio.

Okay everything now works!!!

All the front lights and indicators, and the horns!!

However, none of the indicators front or rear flash!!!

They just stay on permanently!!

Which relay is the indicator relay to make them flash.

An not find it and there are a few under the dash.

Thanks.

Can not get it to blink!!

Just gonna have to keep my right hand on the stalk and move it up and down whilst turning a corner!

Just joking, will get an auto electrician to fix the final electrics issue:

I got an auto electrician to fit a little digital flasher unit to my indicators. They now flash regularly and steadily regardless of how fast the engine is running! Worth considering.

I think I done well today to get the rest all working regardless.

Yep we can have a "didnt he do well" moment.:D
Have you ordered that delphi clutch master cylinder yet???
The suspense of waiting for that to arrive is killing me.... and its not even mine:lol:

You guys are funny!

Yes, the delphi master cylinder has been ordered, should be receiving it this coming week!

Forgot to do a video of the horn working today!! Damn! ><.

It was quite funnyas I pressed it once and this barely inaudible short beep came out of just one of the horns.

Then I pressed it a few more times rapidly and god a few beeps a little bit louder....

Then I really went for it with anticipation of annoying the neighbours and just held the horn slammed on!!

The second horn began whining, then they both began to sing and old jap horn note that got increasingly very very loud until they were at full capacity!!!!

Then my mother came out angry, because I had been hooting for around a whole minute!

She tried to hit me with a tea towel!!! ><.

They are all the same part no's!!!

And yes, that one:

This one:

Happy times!!

Cananyo e please tell me if there is a separate relay for the indicator stalk and the hazard switch.

There must be,or the switch is somehow getting a direct live, not going through any relay. Or if there is a separate stal relay it could be stuck on!

Also please could you tell me where the stalk relays are if there are any please.

Thanks.

I don't know the circuit diagrams (would love to though) however experience tells me that there must be. When I tried LEDs for rear indicators, they would indicate at normal rate but stay constantly on when hazard light switch was used. Hence the circuit on hazard lights is different and needs a load to discharge through, in order to achieve flash rate (Flash time T = Bulb Resistance x Capacitance) .

In fact you can buy a flasher relay for hazards which to me says it's a separate relay.

Would love to stand corrected with factual knowledge!!

Okay, just found this on the wiring diagram in the service manual!!!

Looks like there is 2 relays!!

I could only see 1 today!!

Looks like I need to go look for a 2 pin connector with Green and White wires coming off of it!!

><.

Not again tomorrow....... Sigh.......

No it wont be happy times when you open the box.
Remember you asked...if the 280ZX and 260Z cylinders were interchangble and I tried(in vain) to help you????
Quote:
Can anyone confirm that they are interchangeable for me please?
Slave..... yes.
Master...... No.
