It needs a lot still doing to it (he says it all in the ad) for that money imo. Doesn’t need thousands spent on the interior but just needs time ... admittedly the colour could be better from a resale point of view ...

I'd also put money on it the owner doesn't want to sell , hence the higher price. I'd bet his wife is asking him to as she doesn't want to eat up her savings and needs a horse.

I've met the owner, seems a thoroughly nice chap and has a great sense of humour.

From what I've learnt is he has the money and time to finish but is of the opinion finishing the interior would be best done by the new owner as they can go which ever direction they like. Original or Custom. The trim was left off as he preferred the look without.

I was a little worried as he seemed the type that would put an SR20DET into this car, he has a forged one for his 1979 2dr B310 sat doing nothing.

He left his job off his own back apparently

Seemed a thoroughly nice chap, I really liked him

I'm confused, are you selling the car?

Move your DOB back by 2 decades and you will be perfect fit here:smoke:

If he put in 2 or 3 more hours of research he might be able to finish what he started, but is pretending to be leaving for others to finish in "the direction they like"...

And - for the record - commenting on someone else's ad for your car as though you have nothing to do with it is not all that big or clever.

And another thing. This car has been put back together like a dog's dinner.

I don't think there was any deceit Alan, just a bit of fun.

Alan, would you mind doing some research before commenting. The post you mention was posted by the guy who built my over priced, incorrect coloured dogs dinner of a car. He's put many posts on Facebook whilst build...., sorry, throwing together my car. If you search you'll see many comments like the one on that post.

The post was in a club where the car is well known, who know Chris built my car with a knife and fork and know I own the car. If you Google banter or humour we will be on the same level.

If you can get your asking price or close to it then fair play. I just think it needs too much still doing it for the money. And what needs doing to it is that expensive to do (it is time-consuming, yes). A weekend or two spent on the interior could prove time well=spent. First impressions are everything.

Albrecht's post was about a post in your name.
I'll trust it was an attempt at humour there and here which wasn't universally appreciated.
Lets move on please.
