Z Club Drag Challange

I'd like to thank everyone for the large turnout yesterday, but unfortunately I can't as no-one turned up.

At least 5 members had assured me they would attend but not even a call to say they couldn't make it.

I've pretty much had it with the Z club now and will not be renewing my membership.

Hi Colin

Just to say that we did turn up but by the time we found you you were deep in conversation next to a red Z32 (come to think of it they were all red). Took some pictures of the 300's and Sunny GTI R's. Maybe we will catch you next time.

Colin - my thanks for your efforts on this. I appreciate how disheartening it can be to arrange a meeting that no-one attends, but hopefully you made some runs yourself and scored the maximum six points in the Z32 class? Any details? Let me have your times.

And Allan has scored at least 3 points assuming he turned up in his 280ZX - I think this puts him in a trophy position at this early stage in the season for the 280 class......

Don't give up now - two more rounds to go!

What are dates for next two drag challenge, are they at the pod, cheers,Tony

I'm glad to see crail had things on they said were on for a change, had a great time but i think colin had a better time in his 300,it's a shame that you were looking for competitors some time as they didn't have the ponies down the line and thats what counts, especially dissapointed in the white z32 ,i did look at it at calder motors and was sold for £9500 at i think with 600 horses not sure?but it had no chance with colins 300?what was in the container that went in the tank? ,so i got some mpegs on the runs, if you want them let me know .The qaulity is turned down but you can see the who is who I can also arrange with allan and shiona to get it up to you when visiting

Hopefully someone is doing a report on the Crail action for the next magazine? Attendance, times, points?? The Santa Pod report and results are already done, but it would be good to see the Crail info too.

I think you will need to give Colin a call for that Mike since he does organise it and afterall he knows a lot more than Allan and I about it it was a good day though and three other 300's turned up, two by the afore mentioned Calder Motor company and another red one, only thing about Crail is it can be hard to locate the owners if they are not going up the strip in the cars, we have spent all day waiting on owners to return to their cars. Not sure if it was more a driver issue with the white 300 (maybe his first time) still a nice car, posted a picture in the gallery of it next to Colin at the lights.

But as for writing a piece about it, we still consider ourselves to be novices here, its still a good day out and as for those that don't come you don't know what your missing!!
