What battery do i need

ive got a 280zx 1981
what battery do i need for this
its dead in my mums garage
im going to get a battery and try and start it up
its been garaged for 9 yrs

Try an 096 Battery - that should fit.

By the way, If you don't already know, there's a good chance that the fuel will have gone 'off' after several years ( turns to a varnish consistency ), so best put in at least a few gallons of fresh stuff, or the plugs will foul up & the Engine will just not fire up properly.

Are you sure its an 096. Both my 240 and 260 have 069 batteries.

069 & 096 are identical in plan ( i.e. the terminals are in the same location ), but the 096 is slightly taller & fits into the 280 tray just fine.
