Poor sod even at $750 he should have got better than that he really was done over I feel really gutted for him. However I will say that any time I have ever had work done on any of my toys I am always round there like a fly seeing how they are doing and how it's progressing. So it pays to keep up on what they are doing on your car and it pays to set a price and pay at the end only! Still hope he got it sorted thats a hell of a long thread!!!

I always think it is best to see other work they have done before biting the bullet and handing over any cash or keys.

Ok $750 is not enough for a good job, but unless the bloke quoted him

"For $750 I'm going to ruin your car"

then he still got shafted by this 'Mike' character who clearly knows literally nothing about bodywork. If $2000 got the job he asked for then he should have quoted that, no one in the world would want that standard of work, even on a crap worthless car, let alone what WAS a nice Z.

Feel so sorry for that guy, i would have cried.

You pay peanuts you get monkeys, but he didn't deserve the end result. There have been a few like this on my350z over recent years.
