Everybody been out enjoying the sunshine I hope! In my usual masochist manner, I decided to remove my crappy gearbox in preparation for the T5 install attempt. Almost unbelievably it came out with only minor swearing. I would however like to personally thank whoever thought that welding the downpipe to the rear section was a good idea, but amazingly I managed to pull the whole exhaust out in mere moments, I was also surprised by how light the whole thing was.
I suspect getting the new box back in will be a more challenging experience, I always find pulling things apart a lot easier than putting them back together for some reason
First though I need to get the input shaft swapped on the T5 and the bellhousing changed, so that could take me many moons at my usual schedule
