Power steering 240z ??

Could anyone tell me if it is possible (or justifiable even) to fit a power steering unit to a 240z. (1972, USA Conversion car) The reason for stating justifiable, is that i dont have my project on the road yet, and when its ready for the road, I would be happy to see My wife drive it, (Holy ****)
Am I brave or what.
But seriously, Is it possible? will it be heavy to drive with standard wheels and tyres? am I worrying uneccessarily?
Appreciate your views folks.
Thanks very much.

Hi,Z birdy,Your mrs.will love it!.It's not as heavy as you'd think with standard wheel's etc.
There's a new thread about power steering by Kas,& again anything is possible at a cost, but in your case both of you will be fine...........................................CheerZ......DJZ 60.

Thanks DJZ 60, I saw the thread by Kas, and that started me thinkin!
Imm counting the days until the car is finished, ive waited a good 20 years for the day i own a 240, you know how it is, kept seeing them in mags, and thinking what a shape! More curves than Kylie.
Im glad you think it wont be too heavy going, as allthoiugh we are all used to power steering these days, i wouldnt really want to add something if it meant cutting and carving, unless it was really difficult to get used to.
Thanks again.

I,ve driven Fiat's,VW Golf's etc that have been heavier,It's only when wider tyre's or different profile's are used that the steering get's heavy.Wider tyre's just hold the road a bit better.
As I said you'll both love it,Any question,s don,t hesitate,although half the time I,m on the" chat room " on this forum I,m there for you.........................DJZ 60.

Thanks DJZ 60, I will have to check out this chat room, Yeh Im a computing nightmare mate, sorry.
Im just restoring a nice set of 70's alloy wheels which came of another 240, and hope to put new tyres on them next week. Allthough Im having a USA car, and ive chosen a non original colour, (Nissans Nordic blue) Im still a bit of a try and keep originality as far most other things go. So what do you think i should go for as far as tyres are concerned, i dont mind a tad wider, but dont want to over the top, or indeed if it comprimises on ease of driving, I will stick to standard, whats your opinion?

Second to last question, what about the added luxury of Air Con, has anyone done this with a 240 to your knowledge and if so is it difficult?

Last one, anyone know how i can find my membership number on the website, i lost my card recently, and all my club stuff is packed ready for a house move. Cheers guys.
