oil catch tank

I seem to be getting some oil into my inlet manifolds so was thinking of putting a catch tank in, is there anything i should know before i do?
My engine doesn't burn any oil or smoke at all even when giving it some hammer so i don't know why it's got oil in the manifold. I have looked at the pcv valves which look about 100 years old and the pipes are rock hard so i'm guessing there not working at their best.
Any advice on fitting a catch tank would be appreciated.

My advice is.... dont fit one.
Find the cause... dont treat the symptoms.
