Not pop up headlights

Anyone recomend a decent no holds barred pop killer. I'm inundated with the damn things. Or better still a way of inflicting 10000,000,000,000,000,000 pop ups a day of my backside to the **** HOLES that send them to me

i used adaware 6 to clear out the rubbish in pc then i use a pop up stopper, i ran the programs about 5/6 months ago and not had any since. do you have a msn account if so i.ll pm my email addy then you can d/l them from me.

Google search bar has a very good popup blocker, not to be confused with the other search bars that just create popups.

If you are running XP with the latest service pack then you should have a popup blocker built in to IE.

The other methods used by us to clean a system is to run Adaware, then spybot, then Hijack this and manually deleate the crap that the first 2 didn't get rid of. Also look in add/remove programs to check that no nasties have been installed.

If you go with Ad-Aware SE (http://www.lavasoft.de/) and get the Plus or Pro edition (rather than the free one..) it comes with Ad- Watch which pro-actively blocks a lot of undesirable stuff.

Also ditching IE for Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/) has some merit these days ... this site works just fine in Firefox too!!

Definintely agree with the above!

1) Swap Firefox for IE (which is buggy, whatever MS say).

2) Run 'Ad-Aware', 'Spybot Search & Destroy' and 'Spy Sweeper' daily.

3) Use NOD32 as your anti-virus.

4) Run a little app called 'CWShredder" every few days.

These should keep your PC much happier and faster!
