L28 piston rings

I am currently rebuilding an L28 motor with dished pistons for a friend. I am having trouble obtaining new piston rings for it, as the only ones listed have either a 1.5mm top ring or a 2mm top ring. These pistons have a 1.2mm top ring. Can anyone shed any light on this or know where I may get some from ?

I've only ever sold the two types you mention - 2mm top for 79/81 dished and 1.5mm top for 81/83 "flat" top. A 1.2mm version must be an aftermarket supplier custom set. I can ask my supplier in the UK if you like - they have good USA contacts as well.

Pistons are genuine Nissan and motor has never been stripped before. I have managed to track down a set of rings from the US through my machine shop that will do the job but not cheap !
 
We had thought of that but then the rods need to be removed for the pistons to go in the lathe. That bumps up the labour costs !
