Import DIfference

OK, sorry if this is a bit of a repetitive question - I've searched the board in my inimitable way (which means I've probably missed it&#33

Is there any way of telling the difference between a UK model, and a Jap import? Specifically, are there external differences (I guess internally the speedo is KPH, etc.)

I've managed to reinsure my MkIII Cortina (yes, you read that right&#33 under a classic policy, so I've full no claims to spend on a Z32. I've looked at other Japanese sports cars, and this really grabs my fancy (stems back to the Sunny ZX I had as a younger man!? - seeing them in the Nissan showroom - it will be mine one day, oh yes it will be mine).

Japanese Z32s have a Z badge up front, UKs have a Nissan badge. Japs have no headlight washers. UKs have combination side light/indicators Japs have combination side light/fr fog lights with seperate indicators at the front corners. UKs have blank covers where Jap indicators are. Later Japs like mine have spot lights at the front corners that light up the corners when turning left or right. Japs have same size standard wheels fr and rr, UKs have larger rr ones. Japs have no rr fog lights in the bumper. I converted my 2 inner brake lights to fogs (neat solution). Jap has smaller squarer no. plate recess in rr bumper. Jap has no E mark on the lights and glass.
