Hey there. 22ukp including the books and a promise to come back and show the guy once it was restored. 
how far along? barely started really. I want to get the engine running first to assess its condition. no spark right now, however. Once I've done that, I'll hoink it out along with the tranny, then set to work on the bodywork. I've got the drivers door off and dismantled, and its not too shabby. will need some welding, but the outer panel looks pretty good overall. the power window works, although gets stuck on rust in the runner about 2/3 the way down. I'll probably fab up a new runner (this is the straight one that bolts to the glass). The interior is in a bad way. the carpets shot, the vinyls got holes all over from a crap speaker install, and its generally been got to by the sun. Its gonna take a lot of fiberglassing and vinyl covering to fix. Im considering cutting up a 240 dash and pillaging the nice round dash panels from it, and moulding them in in place of the boxy 280 instrument panel. Right now Im working out the electrical problem though. I have pictures up on http://www.mnementh.co.uk/datsun/ (may be down - BT suck) If anyone has a tig welder they dont want, I'll buy it (for a reasonable sum!). I need to do a LOT of welding on this baby
