The next round of the HSCC '70s Roadsports Championship is at Brands Hatch (Kent) on Saturday 17th July. There should be four 240Zs competing, including the welcome return of Matt Bannister who missed the Snetterton round with a car problem.

Qualifying will be AM and the '70s Roadsports race is a 4-00pm start. There is, of course, a full programme of other Historic and Classic racing spread over the whole weekend.

The Nissan R90CK came awfully close to beating the XJR11 - damn those cars are fantastic!

I think Matt Bannister may have a rather well worn set of tyres for sale.

Pity about the thunderstorm which effectively put the kybosh on Jonathon Palmer's demo drive of the Canon Porsche.

The surprise of the day for me were the "Supersports" - turned out to be a bucketload of Can Am and similar cars, very loud!

Went looking for Mike and co in the paddock during lunch but couldn't find any of them. Went back to the grandstand to watch the races and who comes and sits down in the row directly in front? You guessed it.

Was fleeced to the tune of 35 squid for a copy of "Nissan 300ZX/350Z: The Z Car Story" (volume 2), and picked up a R390 GT1 in 1/43 scale for a much more reasonable tenner. I think Onyx have gone out of business so I need to acquire a few more whilst they're still out there in new condition.
