Good bye retro cars

My favourite magazine subscription has now ended, opened the letter that arrived a while ago saying as of Issue 42 there will be no more retro cars :(

That is a shame, twas a v.good mag and one I use to get regularly.

I am a subscriber of Practical Peformance Car - hope that doesn't go the same way.

What does this mean for the UK Car scene when two mags go under.

Hi,
A lot of good motor magazines have fallen by the wayside over the years! The big boys seem to squeeze them out, probably through limiting their distribution, so less people get to see and buy them!
The other thing is, the more quirky mags such as Retro Cars will only have a relatively limited appeal and readership, compared to say Classic & Sportscar, who have an international readership and therefore advertisers too!...It's amazing how many articles you can publish about Etypes and Mk11 Jags!;)

Very true..

It seems to me though that classic car ownership may be depleting and hence less readers to buy these magazines. Environmental issues and rising costs of motoring are of course major factors

Very sad :-(

My little stash of copies with me in it (I only bought half the print run) will be doubly treasured now!

The next issue was actually a main feature on my ZVR. It was going to be a little present for Wyn. They did a four hour photoshoot, the photos are fabulous. I've attached some here.

Looks like a storm drain! Lovely photos! :)

Indeed good call, it's a storm drain under the A303 at Wylye in Wiltshire, one of their favourite photo venues.

Nice, tempting to drive through it. :)
Would make an almighty noise with your V8 at full throttle.
