Engine build up juices...

Odd title I know.

Just looking for recommendations and shops for different fluids I'll need to buy for my engine build. You know the stuff, that gloopy stuff you put on the end of your rod bolts before you put a nut on them, the stuff you spray on your crank journals, whatever you might like to clean threads in the block with prior to assembly. Also those little green thingies you can put in between your shell bearings and crank for measuring tolerances with.

I've never built an engine before but want to do a pro job.

Please start a thread and document this well, it will be a very useful resource for us!! A how to rebuild your Datsun, Nissan OHC Engine, by Russ Taylor... A Video would be cool as well!

Yeh didn't do many taking apart pics, but haven't put anything back together yet so still opportunity. It'll be like a colour version of the bible/California bill books
