hi guys/gals
can anyone tell me if the club has its own race car. if not why not . heres an idea every one that wuld like to drive a 240z heartstopping race car on track days, answer . then if there is enough people interested .they all pool their money buy the car and take turns driving it a track days. simple idea but it takes a bit of sorting out. but iam sure it would be ballbreaking fun. and all those involved would take care of the upkeep of . the car . am i dreaming is this idea full of sh@*t. please reply

Where would it be garaged/based?
Who would fund repairs?
How much would annual ownership be?

So many questions! :)

Nice idea, but with enthusiasts putting in hard earned cash if one did crunch the car they'd probably get lynched.

Errrr.... which'll be you then bug :)

The PGAC (my previous car club *peugeots* *cough*) had a 205, but it was club funded and had a dedicated driver.

As a member of the club I found it a waste of funds and definitely a fiddle so someone could get to race for free :)

I like the idea, I think maybe the organisation to try and make it "fair" would be overwhelming, and what if another £1000 needed to be spent, all of a sudden everyone would have to donate again and if half said no how'd it work then?

Hmm :)

its only an idea i wouldnt be driving it but if enough people were interested .we could sort out something.if each person involved got a certain amount of sponsorship maybe something could be sorted . i posted a pic of a 240z race car for sale in new zealand it has everything .its the main gallery

If someone wants to race a 240Z then why not race their own? The club organises quite a few track days.

It's a nice idea, but would take a lot of co-operation, organising, money to work and don't forget it has to be equitable.

How about doing a poll in this thread and see how many people are up for it, if the majority are, then you may be able to get this idea off the ground.
