Changing your username...

We have noticed that a lot of people have two or three user logins and this is for one of two reasons.

1) You forget your password and have changed your e-mail address
2) You want to change your name

This isn't very good for the forum as we end up appearing to have more members than we actually do, or people post under different names.

If you lose your password you will be given the option when you fail to login to get the password sent to you.

If you have changed your e-mail address or wish to change your username please let me know

It is now very easy to change usernames using the vB admin page, however please do not make a habbit of changing your username as the mood takes because it gets confusing for other people and no one will recognise your new name.

I will create a change of username request form at some point, in the mean time please just use my e-mail address.

Yes you certainly don't want the situation that arose on the 300zx site where some people had multiple user names.
What's the situation with regard to avatars?Whatever image I try, it says the file is too large or the image too big?

In keeping with the winds of change rushing through the new site, please note that user name "mfeeny" will be now posted as "Mr.F". The incorrect spelling has bugged since day one - thank you Russ for the prompt service!

Ok as you know you visit http://www.zclub.net/forum/member.php?s=&action=editavatar

And it says (regarding the avatar)

"Note: the maximum size of your custom image is 64 by 64 pixels or 20480 bytes (whichever is smaller)."

Now 20480 == 20kb, so up to 64x64 pixels and 20kb.

If you have an image in mind and are really struggling e-mail it to me and I'll sort it out for you.
