Car polishing

I've had my car back from respray a couple of months and have reassembled is but it needs a really good polish to bring up the shine to finish it off. What is the best way and what do I use? Is an electric buffer the best way or elbow grease? The car is painted in 2 pac and laquer. I'd like to get it shiney before Back to Basics so I don't get shown up.

if the cars just been painted do your self a favour and take it back to the painter to buff it up, youve spent good money on the paint over buffing in one area can remove or burn paint when using a mechanical buffer... let the pros. get it 100%
