Bye, bye 'Nuf Zed

My IMSA 280ZX (affectionately known as 'Nuf Zed) that has been with me since 1992 left home today to start a new life in another country. Where's the "shed a tear" smiley when you need one?

Better with this little fella really

:cheers::cheers:
or this one
:hurray::hurray:

Just think of it as an equity release program.
More funding now available for newer projects;)

is anything going to replace it?

Just look in my signature - it had already been replaced with an active project. And I've just ordered another upgrade for the supercharged 350Z...

pmac - thanks for the tea and sympathy...

You're keeping the 350Z then?

Didn't say that...could still go if the price were right, but felt that it deserved the new 6-rib drive belt upgrade to overcome the potential for belt wear and slippage in the original system.

Hopefully it won't be the last we've heard of her Mike.

Whoever bought it is a lucky guy. :thumbs:

sad day Mike i know how you feel, but as Pete said more cash for other stuff now:D. hope the new owner looks after it like you did having seen this car quite a few times in the past i know how good it is.

Always liked something about that car (you know that Mike;) )

But looks like its gone to a good home even though "es a forineer"

Look at it this way, you have so much on your plate that you would have had to give something up to find enough time to complete it.....either that or just pick up my long winded phone calls on the way home from work:cheers:

Only kidding, I am sure you will get regular updates and all will be fine

You say good bye....and I say hello...hello, hello..

Hi Mike and all of his Friends,

it is difficult for me to realize how sad it is for you to see a slice of history that changes hands...
Maybe a positive way will be to consider that the long sleep is now finished for the Nuf Zed... and the time for another life has come?
Maybe telling you that the steps to achieve this restart are coming soon, and the supercharger will be implemented and running about summer if everything happens as planned?
No, Mike, I will not leave you without questions, and this will be your part to keep it alive! :)

Have the cork off the sample bottle that was my small compensating gift, and you will feel better!

The Nuf Zed is still there, and I will keep you posted about what happens!
France and Reims are not far enough for me not to have a drive to UK... or you to have a drive here...

We keep in touch, and you will feel better.
Cheers
Hubert

I know the car has gone to a good home and that we will stay in touch to see it rise again!

Hello Mike,
The first actions are taking place in about 2 weeks:
Winscreen replacement, rear cage to be implemented, seats to be changed to recover the steering wheel centered, and paint to cope with the corrosion issues (same color)...
Quite a lot of planning to be made on the engine finishing, but on the way also!
Some pictures to come when progress is made...Just to keep you informed as promised :)
Hubert
