a serious complaint

Gentlemen, i have a serious complaint regarding the hybrid zed forum.
having read all the posts in this forum, i now find myself(indeed i called MJP yesterday to discuss options) with a dire need to fit a SBC to my Kaminari.
this comes directly as a result of reading the excellent threads in here.
despite having only to fit the turbo, adj pop off valve & msd ignition, i'm now looking at flogging off the L28 & all the "nice " bits & finding (with a little help from you lot) a smog motor to play with.
i hope you are all satisfied with yourselves.

Congratulations!! :D That is one giant step into the realm of being a fully fledged Hybrid Z nut and with a paint job to scare the purists it just has to be done!

We don't have any purists do we ???

Thought they all left the club years back and formed their own :D

OI YOU CAN'T DO THAT TO A Z!!! WHY WOULD YOU GO AND....

Oh I won't pretend I'm a purist, it's a sick obsession but there isn't a cure that I've heard of, most people just grow beards... strange but true.

Get the catalogue from http://www.sdpc2000.com/ (Scoggin Dickey) sent to you, hours of drooling!

Err guys, i'm all for hybrids, but enough is enough.

i love my bike & couldnt think of a worse fate than sticking two 1100 cc bike engines in a ZX.

something like those caterham jobbies then ok, but in a kaminari?

nooooooooooooooooooooooo!

besides, you lot obviously dont ride bikes, have you any idea how much bits are for bike related projects?

you could build a decent small block for the price of 1 bike engine i'm sure.

Hi Dave its great to see more people coming to there senses:) .
I found somthing in the custom car mag. A C5 corvette motor from a 1999 car complete with loom and all the management system £2,500. its a bargin that would get you up and running in no time Tel.10507 450699 Lincs.

thanks for that Gav, if i had 2.5 sitting around i might be tempted.
i'm more into building my own motor & keeping away from the "money pit" syndrome if i can.
you know a few quid here, a grand there:rolleyes:
also, ive seen over the years engines change to a total dependancy on chips, brains etc, this really scares me as i've never been able to get my head around it all.
so a simple motor with a carb, & points even i can understand.

Yup sounds like V8 into Z is the way to go, soon there will be more V8 Hybrids around than L series ones much faster on all tracks and sounding so much better.......roll on 2006, maybe we will have to form a Hybrid Z club so as not to wind the L series boys up too much.......hehehehehehehehe

Glad to see you here Pete our cars are actually very closely related in more than one way,
