240Z Vins

Hey all - quick one.

I’ve replaced the dash in my 240Z (I don’t have the original) - the vin that was on the new dash is incorrect for the car. But I overheard at some point that the earlier UK cars didn’t have a vin on the dash? Is that correct?
If not I need to have one stamped, any idea where I can get one?

Chassis number tag on dash top was only a (Federally mandated) requirement in USA & Canada markets. They were not fitted for any other market.

Problem is, if you leave it blank you will obviously have a 'something missing' look. A switch to a non-USA/Canada style dash garnish (without the cutout) might help with that.
