It's a bull bar attachment...especially needed on rallies where
you could end up hitting deer or zebra's etc(depending on where you are)
Seen more,perhaps on the U.S,canadian shores but definately on
the rally/safari tracks. DJZ 60.

Yeah, I presumed it was a bull bar but it looks a bit too woosy to protect you against anything!
