Hi,I am new to the forum and trying to help a friend out that has the 280zx.Car wont start, not getting any fuel, fuel pump is fine,I removed it and checked it with a 12 volt source.I also made a new wire harness as the wires were in really bad shape by the pump.we are getting no power to the pump through the harness.I am also getting no power to what I believe (according to the manual)is the fuel pump relay.its under the hood, and is the middle relay in the row closest to the fender, away from the motor.every other relay is getting power.is there also a fuel pump relay above the fuse box inside the car?this manual really sucks as it covers many years but doesnt tell which year has what relays.thanks.

Have you checked out the ignition switch to see if it's supplying power to the pump circuit? Also check your earths (grounds to you).

there is power leaving the switch but its not getting to the pump,I put power directly to the pump but it just pumps to much gas to the car and floods it.really need to know if this car has a relay under the dash as well as under the hood.I found 2 blue relays and a green one above the fuse box, thinking the green may be for the pump, anyone know for sure?thanks
