When I bought mine I couldn't care less about the colour. Most people would be advised to buy a classic on condition. Colour is only paint and that can be changed.

Just thought about this. Could anyone with problems put them in one thread to help others find problems.

Point of interest to some. If the valve is faulty it can cause starting problems but more commonly feels like you are towing a fuel tanker. The consumption of fuel was alarming at 7mpg but now sorted.

Problem solved. New AAC valve and it's sweet.

This is recommended by the DVLA to stop vehicle cloning. Who want's to clone an old Datsun anyway. :p

Battery disconnected and then left for 2 hours diagnostic getting done tomorrow. :rolleyes:

Car will start but runs slow for about a minute. Stalling when drive engaged. Hold throttle at about 1k and seems fine. Checked AAC and new one coming. Runs OK after a minute :rolleyes:

Breakers Yard. Gives people chance to post cars being broken or cars in yards being broken.

Everthing is fine. Now read through the service manual properly and should be battery voltage across the plug and continuity across the pins of the regulator. Mine is not continuous so I guess its time for another one. :(

Am I right in testing it for continuity across the terminals or is it resitance.
