    fia homologated fibre-glass panels - 240Z

Sean - if you do not already know Tony D over here in the States, I can put you in touch with him. He and others have been collecting documentation for vintage and speed events for several years and might be able to settle this question once and for all. Email me: john@baddogparts.com We are...

    Quarter windows

QTR Windows I built a jig to hold the window in place out of scrap wood and some foam (to protect the glass and trim). I clamp the jig to my bench so it doesn't move. The 280 front section for sale in the US needs to have 2 screw holes drilled. You need to find low profile screws too.

Whats It Worth, Need Some Advice

2 vs. 2+2 First off, nice car! Second, I can't tell if I am understanding the issue of value correctly. Perhaps it's my American tin ear, but is there some truth to the post about 2+2s having more value than a 2-seater coupe? Maybe it was just British humour and I missed it or is there some...

    Horrah!

260 growler well, I'd put some thought into the following areas: 1) structural issues (rust) 2) suspension (poly bushings, shocks, springs, and sway/strut tower bars) 3) drivetrain upgrade (5-spd, R200 w/280 halfshafts and mustache bar) 4) interior (better seat and seat belts, rollbar...

    Painting the Valve Cover Black

Pc Powder coating is the application by spray gun of electrically charged particles of resin and pigment onto a grounded object, which is then heated in a curing oven. PC is durable, has nearly unlimited color selection, can be applied in any number of textures, and hides surface imperfections...

    Painting the Valve Cover Black

Crashing Yeah, I'm okay but the car ended up in pieces. I'll get to those pics and my restoration ones later this week. I now have a completely restored 240 from the ground up....IMHO 5 point seat belts saved my life.

    Painting the Valve Cover Black

Back in Black I can't speak for paint products in the UK but perhaps a more important issue is prepping the cover prior to paint it. I've done one in black and another in gray and you need to ensure you have a very clean cover to start with. Dry or wet scuff the surface, use a metal wash...

Need to sort my rear end out!

Rear Options right coast on the left side of the pond.....options listed by the amount of money available IMHO: 1) do nothing and spend nothing til it breaks 2) replace w/280a(77-79) or 280b(80-83) tranny (US versions of the 5-spd - the non-US ones should be just fine), R200 w/lsd (88-89)...

Need to sort my rear end out!

Rear Ends Maybe I missed something but why the need for the heavy duty rear set-up? Does your Z have or will have in the near future a 400HP+ capability or have a non-inline 6 engine transplant? I'm currently putting together a shipment to Europe of the following parts for a turbo powered Z...

    240 Wheel Options

Tire/Wheel Sizes On a Z with a noncoil-over set-up you can easily run 215 or 225X50X15s on either 6.5 or 7 inch rims. Good springs will keep the tires from hitting the inner wheelwell. As to spare tire issues, the 215 will fit but the 225 sits proud back there. I can get all four 215X50X15 race...
