    Throttle bodies

Sure, I think a set of well setup carbs can work really well too. Thankfully we have quite a few very good rally people here as well, but it's a dying art for sure. I love DCOE carbs, they have a great charm and character, and are really good, no doubt about that. But also playing the devils...

    Throttle bodies

I think the main thing you get i drivability and reliability. Some extra HP is a bonus, but not the main thing, carbs like Webers are really good at wide open throttle. My car is very nice to drive in regular traffic, especially considering the amount of tuning done to the engine. Took some...

    Throttle bodies

Not talking about the Heritage units, I'm talking about the standard 50mm Jenvey kit with intake. Too bad regarding the Heritage kit, it looks really good, and I love the concept

    Throttle bodies

Sure, but I do find the Jenveys for around 200GBP new on ebay. But you have valid points. I'm very happy with my Jenveys, and the fact that there are spare parts readily available is worth a lot to me. The Jenveys is reliable long term, that's how I look at it. I think that's a valid argument...

    Throttle bodies

Those are basically the same price? Not a huge difference. The Jenveys are built to a very high standard. Very good quality parts and reliable. I think they are worth what they are charging

    Throttle bodies

I think you would need to drive a lot to make any saving from buying the throttlebodies and the accessories, including a ECU. :)

Thanks Rob! I really enjoyed the time with the Ascona. Took the whole family for a couple of excursions, something you can't do the the Z. Thanks Ian. Now that the car is getting more and more sorted, I will go to the Nurburgring next year with it.

Time for some updates, it's been quite a while. The car has been running and running, only some minor issues like fine rust in the tank clogging the injector filter. I clean it from time to time. Summer has been great. Did a fun thing with my tuner. Drove the car to him and we swapped cars...
