Update! ok,ok, it's about time, & yes, I forgot to post the conclusion to this dilemma a few months ago! Suffice to say, after changing various electrical & fuel components...it turned out to be cured by cleaning the injectors & fuel tank! Including new filter of course, plus additional one...

Hi Huw, Great find... I've just bought it off eBay now, thanks. Obviously, my issues remain! Even replaced ecu, but no difference... Still think it might be electrical, so maybe I should try the coil next?! Onwards & upwards... Manual will help no end. Cheers, Geoff

Changed ECU, with one sourced off eBay... Car starts & runs, so at least its the right one... Although, I did check the numbers corresponded of course... But guess what... No Improvement ! Looks like I need to give up now, & seek help from a garage perhaps?! p.s. couple more...

Misfire Update! After all the advice I've received from members, I have done the following:- New Dizzy cap & rotor arm - no improvement New Fuel Filter - no improvement 2nd-hand ECU sourced from eBay - due tomorrow... so I'll soon find out! Cheers All Regards again, Geoff p.s. have finally...

I think Monza might just be on to something, with the ecu firing in banks of 3 (1-3 & 4-6) That's exactly how the engine misfire seems to present itself, with half the engine having no effect at times... Candy Red, thanks again, & in answer to your questions:- Haven't checked if plugs wet when not firing on 1 2 or 3 yet, but it does fire again quite soon still... Runs on all 6 at least 50% of the time, then drops to 3 the other 50%! It's so 50/50 that's it's hard to track it down, as it starts...

I forgot to say that I have changed all the plugs, & the gaps are correct! If the fuel pressure was incorrect, why would it only affect 1 2 & 3 cylinders? Likewise the fuel filter?
