An update: I spoke with the bloke again on Friday to quiz him further on the process he would undertake in reconditioning the tank and exactly what is included in the price. It transpires that they just put some chemicals into the the tank to strip it and then pressure test it with water...

You're absolutely right Mike, as always :bow: My NGK plugs (BPR6ES-11) for 240Z running electronic ignition measure 21mm across the flates, funny thing is that the socket that fits them states 14mm :confused: Sorry for any confusion Morbias :o

14mm fits my NGK plugs.

They have quoted me £200+vat for cleaning the tank inside and outside (back to bare metal) and pressure test for leaks, any repair of leaks will be an additional cost.

Have you checked that fuel is getting to the carbs? And that you have spark?
