My swb manual NA slicktop gave up at about 140ish too (the one and only time I pushed it that far - think of the stone chips!!). Mind you, that was a series 4 with no VVT, but with the lightest of all Z chassis'. The best way to push past this barrier would be to do what I did. Buy a TT ;)
