S30 Source Book
My enquiry about an S30 'Source Book' was not specifically aimed at the date stamp issue, although I appreciate that was the topic of this thread. It was a more general enquiry about a book that covers accurate detail for the S30 restorer/enthusiast. You know the sort of thing...
Thankyou for confirming that.
Are you aware of any books in print/out of print English/Foreign text that document this type of detailed information in relation to the S30 series? An S30 source book, if you like. A book which accurately records detail changes in production etc rather than a...
I have been looking over my car ('73 240Z) for the often mentioned date stamps on various components. Just out of curiosity really, I know it is not going to make my car tax exempt?
These date stamps are obviously not written in 'normal' English style. I have found an old thread that briefly...
I spotted this on someone elses thread:
http://www.shaun-maluga.com/Images/Z/Misc/RS30_Chassis_Dimensions_pdf.pdf
Can anyone tell me if this is accurate for 240Z as well as 260Z?
If not can somebody point me in the direction of a similar diagram to suit 240Z
Different type of door finisher strip
This is the strip on my car which does not have a plastic/rubber plug. The end of the strip is closed off with metal tabs.
Can anyone tell me if this is later or earlier than the type with a plug in the end?
Stainless Steel Door Strips
Sorry do not have any spares.
However I have noticed that on my car the strips on each side are different. On one the trailing end of the strip is a plain cut end with a plastic finisher plug, on the other the end has folded over metal tabs which seal the end...
Have you seen the car?
What are you expecting? The bodyshell will probably in a better state than any uk car in need of restoration. It looks a bit of a mess but it is what you cant see in the photos that is more important.
View as many uk cars as you can find and take plenty of advice...
Just Seen Halfords and brake fluid mentioned in the same thread. That reminds me to advise on careful checking of prices.
I needed a little brake fluid earlier in the year and like many people would, popped to Halfords and picked up half a litre for £5.99, without giving it a second thought...
Clunk In Diff
I had a similar clunk on my 240. I too thought it was the diff because it was well known that they have a clunky drive chain. I even had the Diff checked professionally and they said it was perfect.
I eventually traced the clunking to slightly loose stub axle nuts and worn...
Left hand drive to right hand drive conversion
Hi Ashley
I started a similarly themed thread a couple of weeks ago under the above title. I can not work out how to do a link to it but if you do a search on this title you should find it. There is some info already there.Hope it helps
Nice car Edd
You say it was imported from Australia from new? Thats seems slightly unusual to me. Is there a story with the car
How long before you are on the road?:driving:
