Wow! £1200 would be petty painful, £100 for oil and filter was a bit of a bargain i guess unless it's just delaying the inevitable. I hope not.

Job done Hesitation problem sorted and the gearbox is hunky dorey, the cars running like a dream.

Problem solved Job done, it turned out it was the injector connection on no. 6. I took it off and it was green and totally minging so cleaned it all out and a good dose of the magic WD40 and hey presto good as new.

Yes i thought it could be one of a million things:confused: Having said that i changed the plugs this afternoon(£50 a set, ouch) and after changing them no. 6 is missing like a ******, i swapped the plug and coil to no.4 and it's still misfiring so i'm guessing i have a wiring fault with no. 6...

My 300Zx seems to have a slight hesitation at around 4500-5000rpm, it idles fine and runs well but when i give it little tickle it hesitates goes hesitates goes etc, almost like a misfire. I'm going to change the plugs today to see if that solves it. Any ideas what else it may be?

Parts arrived today Mike thanks.:thumbs: Oil and filter changed and it seems an awful lot better, the next few days will tell. I do have a slight hesitation problem now:( I'm going to put a new post up to see if anyone else has had a similar problem.

No not really just smelled like oil, the engine oil was pretty black too so i'm guessing they've not been changed for while(i've not long had the car)

Thanks for that, the oil on the dipstick does look very grey rather than pinky red. Would dodgy oil cause the problems she's been having? it has only happened a couple of times. Bloody worrying though, i couldn't afford gearbox troubles. Did you say there is a filter in the gearbox? and if so...
