well i've just had my insurance renewal through from carole nash it seems chaucer who they put my classic policy with no longer insure the z32 as a classic car the result was a renewal quote of £495 (was only paying £245 on classic insurance). so i decided to shop around this morning to find a good price on the z, i got quoted from £350 up to £1100 with various company's.
so i thought i'd give admiral a call as i currently have my mercedes with them so i've not put both cars on a multicar policy, as i have 11yrs no claims they have heavily discounted the z for me which was only £250 with £150 vol excess and it's bought the mercedes down as well by £70per year so i've got both cars fully comp for £457 per year result!!!!

Always nice to read a happy insurance story.

Admiral were cheapest for me on a Z32 as well, 23yrs old, 6yrs ncb.

sounds good

a bit off topic but can you get multi car polices??
I was told I could only do that if I was a trader or had a business!

yes admiral does them they were cheap for me on my mercedes anyway which was £275 per year fully protected no claims etc but with multi car it's down to £207 per year and £250 per year for the z on 5k miles plus they give you a big discount if u have one car with no clams but say the z for example does not have any no claims discount.the good part was it's only £150 voluntry excess the other companies i looked at were £400 plus vol excess. the only stipulation was if i crash the z they only repair it with standard bits but were ok with the mods i've done

Up to me selling my 260 2+2 I had it added onto my 240's policy for something like an extra £50 unlimited milage as well with Aon.

Mr.Ex I know you paid 151 quid for your sam ,but how much was the insurance?:D :D :D DJZ 60.:)

Hi Mate A Lot of car & an equally lot of insurance money but I suppose cover in the 'fullest form' is absolutely essential. Small clauses & undeclared mod's & sod's can create a problem in time of need...so peace of mind & reassurance is worth the money. DJZ 60.:)
