Z31 sales

What about UK sales? which were pretty poor -.According to Autocar 140 were sold in 1987 and 337 in 1986- anyone got more UK figures?- although those figures were violently disputed by a psychotic:eek: Z31er from across the river:confused:

That accounts for around 1 percent of the total sales. That's pretty poor by any standard. Weird, because I love the 31. I'll probably go for the early 300 when I get road-bound in the new year (hopefully). Something with looks and lineage that's not outrageous to insure. Loverly!

Hi,
You have to remember that the Z31 was an expensive car to buy in the UK...In other markets it was a lot cheaper!
They're great cars...I've had three over the years and I would probably go for a pre-facelift Turbo if I was going to get another .

It was expensive because Nissan UK wildly overpriced it - something Toyota capitalized on and sold lots of Supras

It wasn't a dig at all. I know it was overpriced over here at the time considering the package you got. But it does make a great bargain now (which is a lot handier for me!)

Seems to be mainly automatics when they do come up. Shame as i'd really want a manual. Just need to bide my time (and pass my test too!)
