I know its been a while but real life got in the way.

Brief summary:

1) Motgage forclosed and had to move house.
2) Got made rudundant as the company went bust.
3) Got a new job from remnants of old company.
4) G/F involved in 7 car pile up wheer her little Pug 106 got hit by five cars, fortunatly she walked away somehow.
5) Got dismissed unfairly as I decieded I wanted to visit G/F in hospital after crash.
6) Found out that I had no rights as new job had no contract and only been working there for 1 week. Therefore couldn't sue them.

All that was in the space of 2 weeks or so.

7) Realised I had plenty of time and started work on the Zed.
8) Very quickly ran out of money ... £65 a week is nothing and redundancy pay doesn't go far.
9) Project Zed put on hold indefinatly.
10) G/F's mother got sick and had to be admitted to hospital as she had a growth on her skull putting immense pressure on her brain. Net result was she had to have part of her skull on her forhead removed to relieve pressure ... very scary night waiting for results of operation.
11) Step dad died .. he was more a father to me than any father/stepfather I ever had. Made my mother and two brothers so so happy. He was also the man who introduced me to the Zed scene. RIP Martin.
12) Had to declare myself bankrupt. Almost lost the Zed but as she was in pieces she was worth next to nothing and persuaded the Official Reciever to sell it back to me for £160 ... phew.

That was all in the space of a year.

13) 18 months from that initial date I got offered a new job. Commuting to Ipswich from Norwich each day in my rattly old Isuzu Trooper, but she returns 35mpg and is remarkably comfortable to drive

Here she is in her element:

14) G/F turned into a wife ... my wife before you lot ask. ;)
15) Got a pay rise when I passed my probation.
16) Wife passed her Law degree ... well done Chloe
17) Finally got my feet back on the ground after a very hectic, stressful, and at times uncertain 2 1/2 years.

Now things are still tight money wise until Chloe gets a job, but at least I am a lot happier now than when I was.

I may have been quiet on the board, but I still checked in now and again. I plan to slowly get the parts I need to finish off project Zed ready for doing the work to get her rolling again. Its going to take time and I have to work outside so weather is a limiting factor, but at least I am getting my keen on again. Expect lots of questions as during the months I seem to have lost my disassembly notes.

Anyways I will stop rambling now, and it feels good to be back.

Oh and I forgot one more thing:

18) I have just renewed my membership as I have always done every year regardless.

Only three things I can say to that:

1. HOLY ****!
2. Well done that man for coming out the other side, many wouldn't!
3. Welcome back!

Having gone through something similar many years ago I feel your pain buddy, Well done for coming out the other side with your sense of humour intact Good luck for the future.
