well i've been on my back bead blasting the underside of the car for days now and it doesn't seem to matter what protection i wear i seem to get glass beads everywhere! had a bath followed by a shower last night and still woke up feeling like i was lying on brighton beach......lol:unsure:

Isn't bead blasting a very slow way to do it or are you looking for a polished underside?

Just get some kiln dried builders sand from B&Q on the go!

Oh and

Christine Keeler's affairs with the Conservative Minister of War, John Profumo, and Yevgeny Ivanov, the Soviet naval attaché, provoked a major political scandal (1963) including the suicide of society osteopath Dr Stephen Ward, and helped to pave the way for Labour's success at the following election.

So what's the joke Derek?

Why Zhead, I didn't know you were on first name terms with her!

I know it's called different things in different parts of the country, perhaps that's what it's called in North Surrey?

It's a good job you do your homework Russ, it was 1963 and she went missing when the poo hit the fan. The joke was that she was found by the Police lying underneath a pier (or Peer) at Brighton.

bead blasting is very slow mate, but the best way to ensure no damage.

just like to say in responce to part of a quote, quoted from a earier post by Russ

Never known Labour to have much success except in licking (or should it be looking) up Bush's backside trying to find the weapons of mass distruction instead of glass beads :(

Problem is all as bad as each other

steve, please dont stray away from the thread subject.....;lmao:D :D
ps. do you have a torch?

that's allright then. We started out with glass beads, then YOUNG Grolls started building sandpies on the beach and now he's taking his bucket and spade off to go grave robbing, it was getting interesting til you put us back on track!

didn't mary millington start off in tooting, not too far from the tooting popular front hq. or was it the popular front of tooting? "splitters" and im still finding bloody glass beads in me bed every morning....drives me nuts!

well i'm almost at an end to the bead blasting and i'd like to say its the most boring, labour intensive, dirty, lung damaging(yes i wore masks) jobs i have ever done. its even going to cost me a new washing machine and tumble drier., but i must say im pleased with the results= no dammage by ham fisted blasters trying to make a few quid plus the satisfaction of doing it myself....when i finnish i will post the final cost and the man hours in total. so far over 2000 kg of beads have been shot!

at last ive finnished with the blasting! i shot 2700 kilo's of media. 18x25 killo bags and reused them about 6 times....

cost of media £360...
plus fuel for compressors £40
eye and breathing gear £30
2 carbite blast nosel £40

total....... £470

not to mention 1 shagged compressor(my fault):(
1 very rough sounding washing machine
1 gritty tumble drier
a garage that was spotless now looks like a bombs hit it.

if i was asked, would you do it again? my reply would be******* *****!!!!!

Fourways collected it today....yippee....now i can make a start on putting all those new bits and pieces together that ive been collecting!:D
